TOKYO STAR (5) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win when resuming last time out over 5½f at Wellington. Serious contender again with the confidence high. ROMAN MISS (4) turned in a modest performance when fourth last start over 5½f at Scone, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the corner. That followed a good when resuming win at Orange. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. SASSEN (7) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6f at Sapphire Coast, scoring by a nose. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade. MISSY NO NAY (1) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6f at Moruya, scoring by one length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
