TRUE AMOR (1) last appeared on August 16 when a good fifth over 6f at Doomben, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Has ability and should be right in the finish. SMART SERENADE (4) found plenty to get the prize by 5. 5 lengths three runs back at Taree before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Sure to be competitive. CALGA POWER (2) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 2 lengths over 5½f at Gosford. GREY EFFECTS (3) has been about the mark of late. Last time out was a nose from the winner in second over 5f at Kempsey. Meets a tougher line-up this time but can figure in the finish.
