SMART SERENADE (8) lifted strongly to score by 5. 5 lengths three runs back at Taree before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Nicely placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. BOLD AND BLAZEN (4) pushed forward and was a determined winner by 1. 5 lengths over 6¾f at Wyong last time out. Has been in solid form this campaign with two wins to his name. Shapes as one to consider. ANGARA (3) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Gosford, beaten 2 lengths into sixth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
