BLUES AND ROYALS (6) performed below expectations when sixth attempting 1m at Sandown Park defeated 4L. Best efforts gives him the ability to have a major impact. Represents the main danger. MAGICAL MERLOT (7) ran creditably when third contesting 1m at Windsor and can mix it with these despite the deeper race. Makes appeal. STRENGTH OF SPIRIT (3) has been below form but is nicely positioned to improve. Not discounted.
