SHEARMAN DYER (4) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 0.6 lengths back in fourth over 1m4 1/2f at this track. Will take some beating. KING OF AVALON (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Balaklava, finishing second and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m3f after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. SCAMSTER (8) was safely held last time in a tougher race, finishing sixth over 1m2f at Morphettville. Watch for a much better run in this line-up. MILITARY PRESS (3) finished fourth last time out over 1m2 1/2f at Gawler, beaten 3 lengths. Winning claims on best figures.
