MANDINO (5) was in contention all the way and finished a very close third last start over 1m1/2f at Gawler to make it six minor placings in a row. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. GILDED AGE (3) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just one length from the winner in third over 7f at Balaklava. Looks well placed so expect another big run. RHINESTONE RORY (7) gets out over more ground. On the back of some solid form of late, the most recent effort a second over 7½f at gawler. Among the better chances. NORMIE NO SHOW (6) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when sixth in a 1m1/2f contest at Gawler two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time.
