ROYAL INFERENCE (1) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by a nose over 6½f at Ararat. Fitter for that last hitout and is all set to make it two-for-two this prep. LISA LASS (5) ran well despite being friendless in betting when resuming last time over 7f at Warrnambool, finishing third and beaten 1. 5 lengths at 20/1. Strong winning chance. RHINESTONE RORY (6) registered his first win last start over 7¾f at Bordertown, getting home by 1. 75 lengths. Campbell Rawiller was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. SCENIC HOST (9) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m2f at Bordertown, beaten 4 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
