Expected to feature. XTRA GEAR (5) finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start after being in the firing line on the turn over 6f at Newcastle, an improvement on her 11th at Rosehill the run before. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. GORUSH LIGHTNING (2) finished sixth over 6f at Wagga last time out following a determined win when fresh from a lay-off two runs back. Has a superb record here at the journey with three wins and a 100% top-three strike rate. Should be involved in the finish. VELLA MAGIC (6) made late ground and finished third last time over 5f at Albury, beaten 2.25 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to run well again.
