Multiple Group 3 placegetter KARACASU (10) settled at the rear then stoked up nicely in the straight to finish fifth over 5½f here last time. Winning chance who will be winding up strongly. Group 3 placegetter SANS DOUTE (4) was successful last start over 5f in the LR Bob Hoysted Hcp at Flemington, getting home by a head to make it four wins on the trot. Winning rider Michael Dee retains the mount. Nicely placed to get the job done again. Group 3 placegetter PRESS DOWN (14) sat just off the speed and fought on well to finish third when resuming last start at this course and distance. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. One of the main contenders. Group 3 placegetter GREY RIVER (7) has been given a 35 day freshen-up since finishing fourth in the LR Matrice Stakes at this track. Readied for this with a recent trial placing. Will be handy despite the tricky draw. Should give backers a sight.
