CRIMSON VINE (12) is racing very well this campaign with three wins from six attempts. Won two starts back at Morphettville and was close again last time out. Should settle handy in the run. Leading contender. A SAMURAI MIND (13) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 1.3 lengths last time out over 7¾f at this track. Drawn to stalk the leaders. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HOOPS (11) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she got a long way back over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Won't find this as tough so she can find the winners' list. I NEED A DRINK (1) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1m2 3/4f at Oakbank. Rochelle Milnes who has six wins when partnering stays on. Can play a role in the finish.
