LUNA VEGA (8) is a maiden galloper resuming from a lay-off after finishing sixth over 5f in the LR Merson Cooper Stakes at Caulfield at the latest appearance on November 29. Trialling well leading into this. Sure to go well. KNURL (1) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third when resuming last time out over 6f in The Showdown at Caulfield. Tackling a more suitable race so he is perfectly placed to score. THE SPEED MACHINE (2) was ridden positively and led throughout to score over 5f at Morphettville Parks last time. Will be prominent from the low draw and will be in this for a long way. BLUE METEOR (3) is a colt Satono Aladdin who cost NZD $ 210,000 (NZB 2025 Karaka - Book 1) as a yearling and kicks off here.
