SIMEON (2) gave a sight here last time, leading until claimed in the straight and finishing seventh, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1m. Goes very well at this journey, boasting three wins from five starts and shapes as a key contender. DRAGOON (6) did little and finished 3 lengths from the winner in 11th over 6f at Sale last start, a less impressive effort than his when resuming fourth at Geelong the run before. Has the class to take care of this field. RESERVOIR DOG (7) has been freshened up since he disappointed last start, finishing ninth over 7f131yards at Morphettville in better company. Will appreciate the drop in class. Will find this easier. Has claims on his best form. HARTMAN (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 2.5 lengths over 1m3/4f at Geelong. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
