MAWKEB (4) did well last time to finish third over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside after she got a long way back in the run. The extra journey should play into her hands. Winning chance. CABACA (5) wasn't disgraced in city class last time when finishing seventh at Caulfield. Will find this easier. Will be hard to stop. BURLINGTON GATE (9) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming last start over 6½f at Cranbourne. Should tighten right up following that outing. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is one of the key runners. THOUGHT PROVOKING (1) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 1m at Caulfield, finishing tenth, beaten 5 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Should be much improved.
