CLAUDIO (10) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 5½f at Dubbo, scoring by 0. 7 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and he is a key runner. BRIGHELLA (12) has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 0. 8 lengths into third over 5f at Tamworth when he was always up in the leading division. Likely improver with strong prospects. EQUITABLE (11) got the prize two runs ago at Tamworth. Safely held last time out when seventh over 5f at Tamworth, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. BOX OFFICE (8) last appeared when he finished ninth over 4½f at Albury on October 11. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Has switched to the Rob Bowen stable. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
