TOUGH GUY (3) will appreciate the step back in grade after finishing eighth last start over 5f at Randwick, that effort coming on the back of a win in a at Tamworth. Can do much better in this more suitable race. LIGHTNING SPEED (7) went forward over 6f at Scone last time and held on for third. Will be looking to cross and steady the tempo. Goes well at this journey with two wins and three placings from six starts and shapes as a key contender. COTTON SOX (11) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Tamworth, beaten a head. Ready to go one better. NEWS BOUND (9) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6¼f at Taree, beaten 3. 5 lengths into seventh. Finds a nice race and can atone.
