CITY GOLD SPEED (3) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 5f at Muswellbrook after being in contention on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. KEADOOL (5) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 1.1 lengths back in third over 5½f at Bathurst. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. KANTISHNA (2) returns from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months and did win when resuming last time in work over 5f at Tamworth. Placed in a recent trial. Has found a suitable race to kick off the campaign. GERETY (7) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last time over 5f at Tamworth when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 1.75 lengths. In the right race and is one of the better hopes.
