SHADHAVAR (9) could only manage fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5½f at Caulfield, beaten only 0.8 lengths. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. TAKEKO (6) is a genuine five-year-old mare who resumed with a solid second last time out at Sandown-Hillside over 5f. Likely to be in the finish. ENNA'S DREAM (8) came from well back on the bend to score last time out over 6¼f at Geelong. Jye McNeil stays on. One of the main contenders. THAILESS (11) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Ararat. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Has to be respected.
