ITSUKUSHIMA (2) is close to a win on the back of a string of recent placings, the latest a narrow defeat over 1m at Sandown-Lakeside when he was handy all the way. Faces an easier assignment so he is sure to prove hard to beat. PRIVATE JUMBO (1) finished seventh two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m1/2f at Sale, beaten only one length after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. CHANTRA (11) accounted for a maiden field over 1m at Colac last start, finishing a long neck ahead of the nearest rival. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Alana Kelly who was on board last start. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up. FLAG FLYER (8) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0. 8 lengths from the winner in second over 1m at Pakenham. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
