LA ROUX (10) resumes after a break of 11 months. Won on debut to launch the last campaign over 5f at Morphettville Parks. Ran fifth in a trial at Pakenham over 5f recently. Sure to go well. GIN SPIRIT (7) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on August 9, finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths over 5¼f at Morphettville. Rates highly and should take some beating. BOSSY STAR (3) comes here off a break of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 5½f at Sale. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Makes plenty of appeal. BELLA CINQUE (6) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was in contention on the bend before being beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 5f at Cranbourne. Fitter so can feature in the finish.
