EARL OF KENDAL (7) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Pakenham, beaten 5 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Finds a suitable assignment and can take this out. FINE WEATHER (1) settled towards the tail then wound up strongly to finish 2.75 lengths away in third when resuming last start over 6f at Pakenham. Well placed to feature again. ZILZIE LAD (2) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 5.5 lengths away in third over 1m at Pakenham when he was in the firing line all the way. Has the ability to figure prominently. ZASCEED (5) was in the money two starts back at Bendigo but couldn't back it up last time when seventh, beaten 6 lengths, at Kyneton over 7f58yards. Finds a nice race and can atone.
