STAR OF KONGO (4) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 4.5 lengths back in third over 1m3f at Bairnsdale. Likely improver with winning claims. SUBARCTIC (5) is in fine form, filling a minor placing again last start over 1m1 1/4f at Kyneton to make it four top-three finishes on the trot. Can measure up again. PIANTA (8) turned in another moderate effort last start when 3. Lay-off. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
