MANDINO (1) got well back over 1m1/2f at Gawler last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 15 lengths away in ninth. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. TIMEONLEES (13) looks close to a win after finishing in the placings at the last couple of runs, the latest when second over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic. Among the chances again. PRINCE PINOT (3) finished 12th two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m at Echuca, beaten one length after being in the firing line on the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. PUNCHIN (5) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1m1f at Murray Bridge. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
