SCRUB CHAIN (1) did well last time to finish fourth over 6½f at Rockhampton after he gave away a big start. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. The testing material. TURN ME ROYALE (5) was a winner last time over 7¾f at this track and re-unites with Tahlia Fenlon who steered on that occasion. Drops significantly in the weights so he is right in contention. MOKTAFFY (3) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just five times from 60 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 7f at Thangool, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Taking on a better line-up this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. JOURNALISM (2) was an impressive winner last time over 1m1f at Mt Garnet. Drifted back on that occasion then quickened impressively to score by 4. 5 lengths. Commendable record at this trip with a win and seven minor placings and cannot be taken lightly.
