FLYING ANIMO (16) has been kept fresh since an all-the-way win over 5f at Townsville. Has to carry more weight this time but expected to go very well. DETERMINATION (6) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 7f at Rockhampton. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. UNCUT GEM (4) lines up for the first time since December 7. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6¼f at Kempsey. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Has switched to the Michael L Evans yard. Makes plenty of appeal. TAHKIAN BUBBLES (10) was a real eye-catcher last start, coming from the tail over 5¼f at Rockhampton to finish a head from the winner in second. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and two minor placings from six outings. Don't underestimate.
