NORTHERN PRIDE (1) was thereabouts last time out when third at Townsville over 6½f, beaten 0.6 lengths. Has a wide gate to overcome but will still prove hard to beat. BRASCO (6) fought on for third last start over 7f at Townsville when he produced a huge finish, making it two minor placings in a row. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. ACROPHOBIC (2) had been in top form with two wins on end prior to a third last time out at Rockhampton. Coming back in journey. This looks a winnable race. BRAD (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Home Hill, beaten 7 lengths into fourth. Well placed to make amends.
