SIDESHOW FRANKIE (1) worked through the line well to finish 1.5 lengths away in third last start over 5½f at Rockhampton. Sure to appreciate the extra journey and looms as a significant player. PAUL EDWARD (6) was beaten 1.1 lengths into second at Townsville two starts ago then finished 10 lengths from the winner in fourth last time at Rockhampton. Blinkers added this time. Well placed and gets his chance to break through. LADY DE VEGA (8) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at Bowen, beaten 2.5 lengths. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. FIRE SPHERE (4) finished 6 lengths away in fifth at her last appearance over 5f at Bowen on January 24 after she got a long way back in the run. Appeals as a top-four contender.
