JAMES J BRADDOCK (8) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at Santa Anita (Dirt) with a win over 4f124yards at this track (Dirt) three weeks ago, getting home by 2. 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. IDIOT'S GOLD (4) is returning from a lay-off of a year. Finished seventh at Pleasanton (Dirt) over 6f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Arturo Williams. Sure to be primed for this and a bold showing is anticipated. ALAN'S CONQUEST (1) was in contention on the bend and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 4½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. LORD DUNMORE (5) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 6 lengths, over 4f124yards at this track. Has a good record at this journey with two wins from five starts. Everything points to a big run.
