RIDING BY (2) is still a maiden after eight starts. Could only manage to finish sixth last time out over 6f at this track (Dirt) following a minor placing at Santa Anita (Dirt) over 6f the run prior. Finds a nice race and gets the chance to break through. SMILING CAPOTE (5) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 1m1f at Santa Anita, beaten 10 lengths into seventh. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is a major player. GREY AREA (6) is a 11-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs, most recently when 4 lengths away in second over 1m at Santa Anita. Should camp just off the leaders. One of the main contenders. WEBSTER (8) never really threatened when resuming last time out, finishing midfield and beaten 6 lengths over 1m at Santa Anita (Dirt). Should do much better.
