IMPERIAL RED BIRD (5) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2.5 lengths, when returning after a lay-off last start over 5f at this track (Turf). Sure to be prominent from the outset. TURQUOISE BLUE (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Sam Houston Park, beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh after being prominent at the turn. Taking on a better line-up this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. SPONGE BATH (1) scored when resuming two runs ago but couldn't back it up last time when sixth over 5f at this track (Turf). Backmarker who keeps coming. Should be competitive. FASTENED (11) improved sharply last time out to score by one length over 5½f at this track (Dirt) three-and-a-half weeks ago. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat again in this suitable race.
