DRINKS AT THE CLUB (4) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 13 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 1m at Sam Houston Park, beaten 5 lengths. Steps up a level but he is capable of running a bold race. COPPER STORM (1) had been racing well with five consecutive placings before last start managing only tenth over 6f at Oaklawn Park. Expected to improve sharply. KANGAROO COAST (3) hasn’t been far away since a maiden win five runs back, the latest effort a second over 5½f at this track (Dirt) on April 17. Definite winning hope. ZAPHOD (2) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when sixth over 5½f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Expect a better run this time.
