FOREIGN LEGION (3) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and found the front, holding the lead for most of the way and sticking on well to finish second over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. SHAMUS EAGLE (8) has switched yards since finishing 13th five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m3f at Bendigo. Should be thereabouts. SUN HALO (10) finished ninth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1m1/4f at Devonport Synthetic, beaten only 0.7 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out. STERREK (9) finished 9 lengths away in tenth at his last appearance over 7f at Hobart on August 11. Cannot be ruled out in this suitable assignment.
