EXPRESS GUARD (6) registered his first win last start over 7f at Terang, getting home by a head. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Stephanie Hateley was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Progressing well so worth following up. SI SI MILANO (4) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was never in contention over 6f at Pakenham, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth. Beautifully placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. CLINGER (3) is progressing well this campaign. Opened with a seventh at Pakenham two starts back then got the job done by 1.3 lengths last time out after being in the firing line on the turn over 7f at Wangaratta. No reason he cannot salute again. SLANE (1) ran below expectations last time at Moonee Valley, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Should be in the mix in this suitable race.
