NOBLE NIGHTOWL (4) was below his best last time when eighth after being in contention on the corner over 5½f at Bendigo, beaten 5.5 lengths. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. LIKA Set Weights IFT (3) settled towards the tail then wound up strongly to finish 4.5 lengths away in third when resuming last start over 5f at Echuca. Will drift back but is expected to be in the finish again. A BIT RACEY (8) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over 6f at Towong. Another bold showing is expected. SUNBURNT (12) showed little early speed last start then picked up impressively in the straight to finish second at Warrnambool over this journey. Commendable record at this trip with a win and 11 minor placings and is one of the better hopes.
