LADY ZODIAC (6) started at 5/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths at Gosford over 5½f. Nicely placed to bounce back. MANWE (1) returns after a lay-off of four months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at Canterbury. Now under the care of new trainer Peter Snowden. Has found a suitable race. MOONLIGHT GAMBLER (3) registered his first win last start over 4½f at Newcastle, getting home by 0.7 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Jay Ford was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade. AEGIPAN (4) showed good early dash and led for most of the way before fading to finish 3 lengths away in fourth over 5f at Gundagai. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
