Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. SPIRIT OF VARANASI (9) defied a lack of market support last start, scoring by a neck over 6¼f at Randwick Kensington. Keagan Latham who has two wins when partnering stays on. Leading contender. CLEVER ART (1) was safely held when fifth last time out over 7f at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a win at Gundagai at the previous outing. Faces an easier assignment so she is a major player. MAH ALI (4) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 7½f at Rosehill. Can figure in the finish again.
