Group 1 placegetter STRAIT ACER (1) resumed over 6f and turned in a fair run to finish fifth in the G2 Expressway Stakes at Randwick. Yet to miss the frame over this longer journey and is worth following up. TAVS (9) bounced back last start and scored by 3 lengths over 7f at this track. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. Group 3 placegetter AUSBRED FLIRT (7) was well held in the Empire Rose Stakes won by Pride Of Jenni over 1m at Flemington at her last appearance four months ago. Well placed and looks a key runner. WILLAIDOW (4) scored last start at Rosehill to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Sure to be thereabouts.
