Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Sure to be in the finish. GRAND SONATA (2) wound up strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1m3f in the G2 Mac Diarmida Stakes at Gulfstream Park (Turf). Must raise the bar but he has the ability to test this field. REBEL RED (1) was ridden quietly then made some inroads and finished 4 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1m1f at Fairgrounds when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in distance. Jose Ortiz who has scored on him three times retains the mount. One of the contenders. UTAH BEACH (5) was beaten 8 lengths into fourth over 1m1f at Turfway Park four weeks ago. Nicely placed to find some form.
