Nicely placed to feature in the finish. MONTEVECCHIO (15) was in contention all the way and fought on for second last start over 1m2 3/4f at this track, making it two minor placings in a row. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MAURITA (12) turned things around last start and got the job done by a long neck over 1m1 1f at this track. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. VERMEER (2) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m3f at Grafton, beaten 1. 75 lengths. Placed to advantage so anticipating another big run.
