TARPS (8) produced a reasonable effort when sixth last start after being prominent at the bend over 5½f at Doomben, beaten 1.75 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. ZELGARIA (1) turned in an eye-catching run over this journey last time, settling out the back before winding up late to finish 1.1 lengths away in fifth at Eagle Farm. Sure to prove tough to stop. HANG FIVE (3) resumes. After filling a minor placing at his last appearance at doomben over 6¾f on august 7. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with four minor placings from five tries. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. BAD EDUCATION (5) raced below his best last time when 11th over 7f at Eagle Farm, beaten 7 lengths. Nicely placed to bounce back.
