MARTEDI (4) did little and finished 7 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1m1/2f at this track last start after being prominent at the corner, a less impressive effort than his fourth at this track the run before. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. SPIRIT OF GIVING (6) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 0.7 lengths over 1m at Toowoomba when he worked home well. Going up a level this time but he is up to the challenge. TRAIN ROCK (8) finished out of the money two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 10 lengths when seventh over 6½f at Toowoomba three-and-a-half weeks ago. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. BREAKING GROUND (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m1/2f at this track. Can figure in the finish.
