QUADE (6) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.9 lengths of the winner in third last start over 5f at Toowoomba when coming back from a lay-off. Will be tough to stop again. MACHINE HEAD (9) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 5½f at Toowoomba last start, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Alisha Donald who was on board last start. Nicely placed to double the win tally. THE PUNISHER (10) is a genuine type with two minor placings from three starts this prep. Was in the firing line all the way and finished 0.8 lengths from the winner in second last time out over 6¾f at this track. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RUPERT'S HOUSE (1) returns from a lay-off of 11 months and is having his first run for a new yard. Was a winner when fresh last campaign at Doomben over 5½f. Placed in a recent trial.
