SILVER MAID (12) missed the placings on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 6½f at Seymour, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so she is a major player. SPIKE ALMIGHTY (5) last raced just a week-and-a-half ago when sixth over 6½f at Ararat. Deserves another chance. STAR OF RAVENNA (13) finished 2. 75 lengths from the winner in sixth after being prominent at the bend at her most recent outing over 1m at Stawell. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
