BOA VISTA (5) started favourite last time over 4½f at Albury but could only manage fifth. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Ideally placed to take this out. HARRY DE LAD (1) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 5f136yards at Geelong after being in the firing line on the corner. This is an easier race so he is likely to play a big role. MAKARIM (3) hit the frame two starts ago at Terang but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 6f at Warrnambool after being prominent at the corner. Has the ability to put the recent run behind him. FINNISH GIRL (6) is finding the breakthrough elusive, beaten 5. 5 lengths into ninth at her latest appearance over 5f at Wangaratta. Cannot be left out of calculations.
