DUBENENKO (5) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 6f at Benalla after being prominent from the outset. Wide draw and will need a good steer from Patrick Moloney. Enjoys a drop in grade so she is sure to be right there at the finish. DRY FIRE (4) was an impressive winner last time over 6f at Ballarat, scoring by 2.25 lengths to make it two in succession. Top chance again. MERE MORSEL (7) made progress last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in third when he did his best work late at the end of 5¾f at Geelong. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. THISISMYTURF (2) was comfortably accounted for when eighth last time out over 5½f at Hamilton, beaten 7 lengths, after a win at Mt Gambier at the previous outing. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
