OPTIMAL COURAGE (3) is back at the races for the first time since June 1. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Sam Houston Park. Has ability and should be right in the finish. EL ROSILLO (6) finished out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 4 lengths when fourth over 6f at this track two weeks ago. This doesn't look as hard so he is set to turn things around. YOU'RE FIRED (4) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 14 lengths into seventh over 5½f at this track. Has been in the money at each second up start. Strips fitter and can take this out. BELLA'S PRAYER (7) got the prize two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when eighth over 6f at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can run a bold race.
