CALAMITY (6) last appeared when she scored over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) on June 16. Rates highly and should take some beating. SURPRISE (2) broke her maiden last start over 1m at this track (Dirt), scoring by 3.5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Fernando De La Cruz was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Nicely placed to double the win tally. FREAK CITY (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she was always well out of her ground over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. VANISHED (5) accounted for a maiden field over 1m at Thistledown (Dirt) last start when fresh from a break. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade.
