SKY EAGLE (7) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over 1m at Launceston. Will be tough to hold out again. BAYSIDE (1) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 3 lengths, over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Likely improver with winning claims. TASSIE POWER (2) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by one length over 1m at this track. Likely to push forward from the wide draw. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. FRENCH SOUL (3) was a winner over 7f at Launceston last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by a nose. Will be doing his best work late.
