TIDEFORD (9) finished second at Launceston two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m4f at this track, finishing 40 lengths back in eighth. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. CURRENCIES (13) is a talented filly who was well held last time out in the tougher Hobart Guineas won by Likeakalix over 1m2 1/2f at Launceston, beaten 10 lengths into seventh. Should camp just off the leaders. Will prove tough to beat. BULBUK (1) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 22 lengths over 1m4f at this track. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves another chance. ALPINE TROUT (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 1m2 3/4f at Launceston. Hard to leave out.
