OAKFIELD ALASKA (6) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 7¼f at Muswellbrook last time out. Sure to prove tough to beat. OLYMPIAN (1) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 4 lengths behind Matias over 1m2f in the G3 Frank Packer Plate at Randwick. Has been in solid form this campaign with two wins to his name. Expected to feature. WEST HEAD (5) has been kept fresh since finishing fourth over 6f at Mudgee. Kept up to the mark with a recent Dubbo trial win. One of the genuine contenders. WHATELEY (4) had been going okay but was safely held last start when eighth over 7f at Randwick. Better than last start and worth another chance.
