STRAIGHT FIRE (8) returned from a break of five months with a solid third last start at Canberra over 6½f when she was prominent throughout. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Worth following up. MARENARO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m2f at Mudgee, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. CRAFT (4) led throughout last start to score an effortless 2.75 lengths win over 1m at Queanbeyan. In the mix. MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (11) hit the frame two starts ago at Dubbo but ran below par last time when ninth and beaten 2.75 lengths over 7f at Randwick. Has her share of ability and can do a lot better.
